Sur Sarovar (Keetham) Bird Sanctuary

Centred on Keetham Lake off the Agra–Delhi highway, Sur Sarovar Bird Sanctuary — a designated Ramsar wetland — hosts more than 165 species of resident and migratory birds, including pelicans, painted storks and Siberian waterfowl in winter. The sanctuary also houses the Wildlife SOS Bear Rescue Facility, the world’s largest centre for rescued sloth bears, and the poet-saint Surdas is associated with adjoining Runakta.
Timings: Approx. 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (winter months, October–March, are best for birdwatching)
Weekly closure / special viewing: Open all days; bear facility visits require prior booking with Wildlife SOS.

How to reach: About 20 km from Agra city on NH-19 towards Delhi, near Runakta; taxis and buses available.
