Mehtab Bagh
Mughal Garden / Taj View Point
Laid out originally by Emperor Babur and later aligned by Shah Jahan with the Taj Mahal directly across the Yamuna, Mehtab Bagh (‘Moonlight Garden’) is the finest vantage point for viewing and photographing the Taj — especially at sunset. The restored charbagh with its fruit trees and pathways offers a tranquil alternative to the crowds on the southern bank.
Timings: Sunrise to sunset, all days
Weekly closure / special viewing: Open all seven days.
