Laid out by Emperor Babur around 1528, Ram Bagh is regarded as the oldest surviving Mughal garden in India and the prototype of the charbagh tradition that culminated in the Taj Mahal’s gardens. Terraced walkways, water channels and pavilions overlooking the Yamuna make it a quiet stop on the trans-Yamuna circuit.

- ADA toll: Foreign visitors additionally pay a ₹500 ADA pathkar (toll), valid the same day across Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar’s Tomb and Itimad-ud-Daulah; it is not levied on Fridays.
